A tragic incident unfolded in Kentucky as a woman, Angela Gosser, 56, went on a violent shooting spree, resulting in the deaths of her husband and her sister before being killed by her brother in a shootout, according to police reports. The events transpired on Friday, May 3, in Jamestown, when Gosser allegedly drove to her brother Darryl Wilson’s, 58, home armed with a gun and forcibly entered the residence. A confrontation ensued between the siblings, both of whom were armed, leading to a fatal shootout that left Gosser dead and Wilson critically injured, requiring hospitalization.
The full extent of Gosser’s actions only became clear when authorities responded to a welfare check at the home of her sister, Jennifer Wilson. Concerned family members had been unable to reach Jennifer, prompting the check. Upon arrival at the Russell County residence, law enforcement officers discovered Jennifer Wilson seated in a Toyota Camry with fatal gunshot wounds to the head. Police believe that prior to the confrontation at her brother’s house, Gosser encountered Jennifer and fired multiple shots at her through the car’s passenger side, leaving her fatally wounded.
In addition to these tragic events, Gosser’s husband, Larry Gosser, was also found shot and killed on the same evening. Larry Gosser, a retired Sergeant with the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife after 16 years of service, was reportedly working on a tree on his property in western Pulaski County when he was fatally shot by his wife.
Authorities have not yet determined a motive for Angela Gosser’s violent actions, and investigations into the incidents are ongoing. Pulaski County Sheriff Bobby Jones stated, “Right now, that is open for investigation. We are still working with detectives and looking for leads. They are back there working to find the end of it,” as reported by local station WKYT.
